How to enter a mixed number

Donn Fishburn's Photo Donn Fishburn 30 Sep 2019

In ACAD and DraftSight you can enter a mixed number - for instance the length of a line - by typing "3-5/8." When I do this in NanoCAD I get a line 2-3/8 inches long. What is the proper format for entering a mixed number?

Hi Donn,
what version of nanoCAD do you use? Where do you insert the length of the line?
Try this: call LINE command, specify first point, then enter the length: @length<angle for example @3-5/8<0
Did you change units to architectural or fractional?

This is the free version - v5.0.2520.1471. I'm an old CAD teacher who will eventually lose the ability to use ACAD without paying their outrageous prices. I am trying out nanoCAD for my occasional woodworking projects. I have the units set to fractional but the dash is being ignored and 3-5/8 is being entered as 35/8. Because most woodworking is in fractions I'd like to be able to enter mixed numbers as you can with ACAD.
