Objects lost from snap after non-ortho dis...

I am using the free 5.0 version under Windows 10.
The Snap is always On, the Osnap is Off.
After any move/copy/stretch with Ortho Off, the objects that were in snap appear out of the snap.
Is there a way to fix this?
Or, is there a way to make an object to be always snapped to the nearest point of the grid?
