Cut and paste functions and font thicknesses

The cut/copy and paste functions in the 'Edit' menu seem a but hit and miss. Any known reason/resolution for this?
Also, the thickness of fonts in NanoCAD seem to be a lot thicker/bolder than other CAD systems which is potentially an issue when using smaller font sizes. My preferred font style is Lucida Sans Unicode, but it seems to be the same for most, if not all font styles. Is there any way of thinning out the fonts? Note, 'bold' style is not selected.
