Blocks - Circles and Text - Loss of Relati...

Plato's Photo Plato 03 Mar 2015

On Nanocad 5, I wanted to draw some block symbols I could use in my wiring diagrams. I set the grid to ON with spacing at 1mm subdivisions and 10mm major divisions.

I drew a circle with a radius of 5mm in one of these grid major subdivisions. Inside the circle I wanted to put 2.5mm high text. I use these circles with text in them to refer to a notes or parts list.

I typed, "text" in the command line, set the height to 2.5mm and the angle to 0, then type the text I wanted e.g. the number, "2" which started to appear much smaller than 2.5mm or 2.5 subdivisions.

The circle then suddenly flew off to the right and grew in size.

I tried it several times and the result was exactly the same.

What is causing this to happen?

Thanks for your help. :)

Hello Plato,
how do you set the height and angle of text? Do you write it in command line, then press Enter?
Or after the message Specify text height <2.5>: you click by mouse?
