I was looking around and found progeCAD which is very similar to nanocad. I don't know if they are based on open source software, but they sure looked very close with the exception that progeCAD can do 3D modeling which is what I would like to do. So will nanoCAD ever support 3D at all? I guess they're just similar but not the same.

For anyone else looking for a free parametric program I found this one. I still like nanocad 2D, but I want to make some 3D parts. I don't know how well this will work, but I thought I share it here as well.

It's been a while since I tried this one, so you can test it out too.

I just found that I can use the delcam software too, so I'm now installing that one to see if I can make the small parts I want to draw in 3D. I'm trying to eventually make the actual parts, this is why I have been looking for something like this.
