Force delete layers

otrames's Photo otrames 03 Mar 2022

Hi all,

I am working with an old drawing that someone did years ago and it is plenty of mistakes and layers.

My first move was to split everything into well organized layers (blocks, lines, etc) but there has to be any lines attached to some of those old layers, that doesn't allow me to delete them.

Is there any way to force the action of delete layers?

That would be the option that I am mainly interested in. Due to if I hide everything or force to show the lines related to those old layers, I cannot see anything.

Thanks a lot.

Regards,
O. Malonda

Hi.
If you're using NanoCAD 5.0, you can't delete layers containing objects, so, they need to be cleaned.
However, using newer versions of product, allows to delete layers easily even if they aren't empty.
For example in NanoCAD 22 clicking "Layer Properties" in "Home" tab you're calling for "Layer Manager Dialog" where can select layer to delete and if it's not empty you see dialog window "Delete Used Layers" where can choose what to do next.
Selecting "Delete objects" options allows to delete not empty layer.

Newer versions available at http://nanocad.com
I would recommend to try newest one - 22.

Available free trial, so you can try it and clean your document while testing.
