Freezing drawing project when edit block

Hello,
I work in the free version of nanoCAD 5. When I edit a block with the refedit procedure, the rest of the drawing darkens as if it becomes inactive. But despite this, I can still change the rest of the drawing. Is it possible to somehow freeze the rest of the drawing so that I can freely change only the block. This is very uncomfortable when drawing large projects.
Has anyone encountered this problem before and corrected it in some way?
