Blocks Grow when Created

I am creating blocks of our new furniture to move around an existing drawing of my house.
When I create a rectangle 41.5" by 42" all looks well.I add a few features to make the box unique and match the piece of furniture. Still good.
I then create a block of the rectangle and the added lines to make it easy to move around. Once I create the Block, it jumps in size to 1066.8 by 1028.7 (measured by the inquiry tool).
What have I done wrong?
New to NanoCad but have used DraftSite in the past.
Using NanoCad 5.0.2520.1471
