Quickly Select All Lines in a Layer

twillkickers's Photo twillkickers 22 Sep 2020

I have a set of lines that I have assigned to an individual layer, and I would like to quickly select all the lines in the layer so I can move the entire element around. How do I do this?

Choose one line, then use SELECTSIMILAR command. You can find it in Property window (Ctrl+1). It works for single type objects with similar layer/color/line type/weigth. If you need several types (e.g. lines, polylines and circles) on the same layer, you should use quick selection - QS command, where you can select any combination of properties to filter. You can fint the button in the same Property window.

Thank you! This helps me a lot.

You can also use layer manipulation tools - LAYWALK (leaves only selected layer visible) and LAYISO (isolation - locks all layers except selected). These commands appear on Layer pane and help you see and work with desired layers only.
*These commands are not available in NC5 free.
