Help with Isometric Dimension

I need help to add vertical dimension on an model in isometric draw.
I can not manage to add vertical dimension in model view.
In plot view it is possible but then vertical dimension looks a bit different than others that are added in model view.

I'm using NanoCAD 5.0

Hello,
Draw in isometric = 2D !
Vertical dimension in your example = 3D
You want drawing in 2D or 3D ? ...

The quotations are posed on a 2D plan (world UCS).
So you have to rotate the reference plane (local UCS) and not just the view. But despite a UCS rotated, for its position in space, the dimension remains dependent on the UCS world.

It must therefore be moved after placing it. It is not ergonomic.
Perhaps another work procedure should be considered.
What do you want to do ?

Okay, I managed to solve it, thanks to your suggestion.

There are two ways:

1. From UCS toolbar -> set Coordinate system at botom at vertical line (in my model) -> then put vertical dimension and -> move/align it.

2. In my case, put model in right view (set right) -> then change UCS name to Right (at properties / Misc) -> put vertical dimension -> set back to isometric view and -> move/align dimension.

To run the UCS I use the UCS command. Point the origin then a point on the X of the reference plane to create and a point on the Y.
The view does not follow the position of the UCS. But with the Shift + Mouse wheel, it's easy to rotate the view.

Nanocad 5 is not 'equipped' to make 3D and it quickly becomes laborious. Maybe Sketchup V17 (free) would be more suitable.
SKP files can be read by PconPlanner (free) and transformed into dwg in order to insert them into NanoCad.

NanoCad for plans, Sketchup for 3D, PconPlanner for conversion and rendering, it's the winning trio!

For this work nanoCAD 5 will do.

Just a detail:
As in Autocad, the UCSFOLLOW variable (0 or 1) allows you to activate or not the change of view depending on the movements of the UCS.
