							Hi,
Wondering if someone can explain to me the difference between '3D Extrude' vs 'Extrude', and the use case for each? ( I guess this applies to all of the '3D Solid' vs 'Modelling' commands in the ribbon under the 3D Tools tab)
I can create a planar sketch and then use 3D extrude to create 3D object, but then I cannot rotate or move this object as it is fixed to the plane that the sketch was created on.
If I draw a closed polyline (not a planer sketch) and then use the 'Extrude' command, I can create a 3D object that I can manipulate, move, rotate etc.
Looking for advice on when id the best time to use the 2 different methods.
Thanks.
