nanocad freeze when opening certain dwg

js gagnon's Photo js gagnon 13 Aug 2015

Hi

I have just installed version 5 on a windows 7 64 bit machine. Most of the dwg are opening fine but some dwg makes nanocad hang. When I force Nanocad to close with the task manager I can see in the command window of Nanocad "quit exit...another command is in progress" (from memory, not the exact message) I know these dwg are opening fine in free viewer trueview

any idea what I can try?

thanks

Hello,

1. try to run nanoCAD and use File - Drawing Utilities - Recover to open document.
2. If it won't help, try to download nanoCAD Plus 6 (it has free trial period) or nanoCAD Plus 7 Beta (it's better). These versions has more functions for drawing recovery.
3. You may also send me your problem file, I will try to understand what happens.
4. It would be helpful if you could tell, what program used to create those files.

The file has problems with hathes. nanoCAD 5 can't open it, but it's enough to open file in nanoCAD Plus 6 and save it.
So, if you have many files with the same problem, I can advice you to use nanoCAD Plus 6.0.
I fixed all errors of attached file in nanoCAD Plus 7 Beta.
New fixed file attached.
