Dimension Alteration

Hi everyone,
I am new to NanoCad 5, I have tried to work out how to change dimensions on NanoCad but can't seem to figure it out. I have drawn a rectangle where the base is on the x-axis and one side of the rectangle (we will call it side A) is 100mm from the y-axis. Now, I have been trying to change the distance of side A from the y-axis to 250mm. I right-click the dimension and edit dimension, I change the highlighted figure from 100mm to 250mm and click ''OK''. The text on the dimension line changes to 250mm but the distance is still 100mm, as the rectangle is still positioned on the same vertical grid lines when the distance was a 100mm. How can I change the rectangle position to be 250mm away from the y-axis ?
Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.
