just upgraded to 8. I'm working in a drawing I started in 7. When I go to edit a line of Mtext, the edit box rotates to match the 'world' ucs as opposed to the ucs that I have set current. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

you can set text rotation in Options dialog:
