Hello,

I´m having issues with a .dwg that was exported from 123D Design, from a 3D model.

I can´t snap to edges and measure distances (distance command). It is strange.

The file I´m using is attached.

Hope someone can help.

Regards,

Thiago

Hi,

nanoCAD 5 works with 2D-drawings.
You can try nanoCAD Pro 7, it can snap to 3D-objects.

Hi Hellen,

Thanks for the reply.

I understand, and I found out that this is an issue with 123D Design and the way it exports 2D drawings in DXF/DWG format.

The holes for example, in 2D, are exported as a series of segments, so they are not recognized as circles... and I can´t measure it. Is it possible to somehow convert the segments into a full circle?

Regards,

Yep load the drawing, select Modify, Explode. Now you can select intersections, Snap, Measure etc.

Probably need to redraw all the circles.
