Scale between model and layout (nanocad 5)

Francis Therien's Photo Francis Therien 13 Feb 2022

Hi,

Sorry if this is repetitive, I've read the help and a few topics on this forum with similar questions. However, I still cannot figure out this exact issue:

1. I create a new file

2. With the command UNITS, I set the insertion scale as "inches".

3. Then, in model space I draw a square, 200 inches x 200 inches.

4. I then create a rectangular viewport around this square and insert it with scale=1.000 (default) in the A4 layout.

5. Since my square is 200 inches, I would expect it to not fit on the paper, and I would have to set the viewport scale to 0.01. However, it seems that the square fits with scale=1? In fact it sort of looks, based on A4 paper dimensions, like the square is 200 mm?

How do I correctly set a scale for 1:100 inches between model and paper space?
