Upon attempting to insert an external reference in a drawing I receive a "Fatal Error" message, nanocad provides opportunity to save the drawing and then closes.
The message comes up something like 5 seconds after the external references dialogue box appears. The dialogue box functions are greyed out so nothing can be selected.
Note that the same thing happens regardless of whether it is a new or existing drawing file and also still happens after restarting the PC.
The purpose of the external reference was to call up a titleblock.

Any suggestions as to what I might try?
