I've just started using template files.
My issue is that when i make a new document it's zoomed out to begin with.

What am I doing wrong?

Hello
With a zoom and Extend option ...
what is happening ?

Is this model the only one to do that or is it all the models?
Possible causes:
A zoom may be saved in this model ...
An object far from the origin and the paper area ...

Best regards
Patrick

This is the only model to do this.
I can double click my middle mouse button ( Zoom to Extents) and it will bring the layout zoom back to "normal". So that tells me that nothing is hidden far away from the origin in the layout model.

something I just tested was saving the DWT while in the model space rather than in the layout view... and that seems to have done the trick.
It's only when i save the template while in the layout view that it opens like that.

I should specify that the reason I was looking into this in the first place was mostly because the intended users of this file would likely get annoyed by having to zoom to extents every time they make a new file

okay ;)
good habit of putting yourself in the shoes of users, we never do it enough !

That said, the solution found is good, but we should know why this zoom in paper space.
I do not reproduce this situation when I save a dwt with a correct zoom in paper space ... Strange !
