I am trying to create blocks of furniture to move around in a drawing to check fit and various layouts.
When I create the blocks they grow in size. To massive size. I have attached a file where I drew a box 2 feet by 1 foot.
I copied the box and then created a Block from the copy.
As you can see in the attached file, the block ended up massively larger than the original.
Why and what can I do to keep the blocks the original size?

This is the 3rd time I have uploaded this file. Yet apparently no one can see it. Hope it works this time.

OK apparently I have a different problem. I attach a file to a comment but it does not show up in my comment.
How do I fix that?

Hello,
Thank's for the file.
This is a x24.5 scale ratio of the block.
Your block is defined in inches so by inserting it the proposed scale factor is x25.4.
Set your drawing parameter to the "nothing" unit ... Use the 'Insunits' variable for this and set it to 0 (it's 4 in your drawing).
By inserting your block it will keep the initial size.
Cordially Patrick

Or just change the drawing unis to Inches. (thanks to pguimber for sending me on the right direction to find this.)
Which apparently I have to do every time I do something with this drawing.
Is there any way to Avoid having to constantly change the drawing units to inches?
Everything I work in is in inches and I have hundreds of existing blocks, all in inches.

Hello
in autocad you can (options) put two other variables on the desired unit (insunitsdefsource - insunitsdeftarget).
NC variables are listed with Setvar Have equivalent variables exist.
Or edit Insunits in a template file ...
cordially Patrick
