Just moved from Draftsight to NanoCad and am absolute beginner with NanoCad.
How can I open .dwg files created in Draftsight?

Hello John,

check the version of .dwg file, because nanoCAD 5 cannot work with dwg2018 format.
How to check dwg version: open the drawing file with any text editor (notepad, for example). At the beginning of text you will see the following code: AC10XX, where XX can be: 32, 27, 24, 21,...
AC1032 code means that the file has dwg2018 format. You can use nanoCAD Plus/Pro 10 to work with these files.

If you cannot open the drawing in Plus/Pro - please, send it us.

It is 2020 now and nanoCAD still can't load a single 2018 format.
When is a fix coming?

Hello,
many users of dwg files work with 2004 or 2010 format... me too !
Download a Draftsight trial, convert your files and work fine with NanoCad
Cordially

Hello,

will nanoCAD PLUS be able to open the newest Autocad files?
