Multi-select objects

I have NanoCad 5 on my windows 10 computer. I was able to select multiple objects without using the shift key in conjunction with the selection. In the last couple of days, I have lost the ability to select multiple objects at one time. Now if I select the first object and then select a second object, the first one is de-selected. I have looked thru the thru the various places such as options, interface, etc but I don't see anything that will allow me to multi-select.
