nanocad 5.0 doesn't work with last win10 update. Actually I can open the files but nanocad is really too slow.
I tried to uninstall windows update but it didn't work, so I tried to reinstall nanocad but the problem is the same, the cursor appear only after 5/10 seconds and if I try to select something it stay blocked for several seconds.
Please can someone help me? thanks

Hello Claudio,

try to change OpenGL/DirectX in Graphic settings in Options dialog. Don't forget to restart nanoCAD to apply changes.
Does your problem appear on every file or on a specific? It may be problems with current files, it would be helpful if you could send us one of them here or to Support Center support@nanocad.com

Hi Gary,
what version do you use?
Did you try to change graphic system?

Hello NanoCad, this problem is directly related to Microsoft Windows handling of OpenGL drivers compared to their preferred DirectX drivers for graphics hardware. There would appear to be an inordinate amount of processing overhead when using OpenGL drivers as compared to using DirestX drivers, irrespective of the OpenGL setting chosen.

Do you guys still use Windows 10? Have you considered switching to the 11th version?

I totally feel your nanocad + Windows 10 pain! I had this weird dance too when I first got into the groove. So, here's my two cents: I stumbled upon this workaround—grabbed a windows 11 pro retail key (like, seriously affordable!) and voila, it smoothed things out. I get it, it sounds random, but hear me out! I was this newbie on the forum, kinda clueless, posted a similar SOS. I was skeptical, but it worked wonders! Cursor's on its A-game, selects like a pro. Maybe give it a shot? Newbie or not, sometimes the offbeat fixes are the ones that do the trick!
