Join polylines fuzzy distance

Ray Genbowgen's Photo Ray Genbowgen 05 Jan 2018

Hi,

I am trying to use a lisp that is joining lines and arcs to polylines (if they have identical vertices and are on the same layer).
It is working great so far, but when i get to a line joining an arc it doesn't join those most of the times.

when I am using the pedit - join command it is the same. it works if i move the line to the end of the arc manually (although the joining vertices havent changed at all).

I was thinking it might be connected to the fuzz distance setting that you can change in AutoCad with the systemvariable PEDITACCEPT .

Is there anywhere in nanocad where that setting or something similar can be adjusted?

Thanks for you help.

Hi Ray,
it is not possible to join objects with distance, they should have one end point.
We will add your wish to our wishlist.

Hi Hellen,

On a similar subject:
I've been trying to connect lines and arcs using the join function by selecting the objects and hitting return as you would in AutoCad but that doesn't work.
Is this possible?

The object are basically part of drawings used in a laser cutter. They need to be joined or the cutting program refuses to accept them

Thanks

Hi John,
use nanoCAD Plus/Pro to join different types of object (arcs and lines, for example).

I guess that means I have to buy the plus or pro versions, which for a pensioner who uses it for designing things to cut on my little laser is a bit expensive.
However thank you for your reply. I will struggle on, combining the lines with my laser software. it's time consuming but can be done.

Thanks Hellen,
John
