My drawing has disappeared, I notice in my layer bar the light bulb is missing and there's an eye icon. Could that eye icon be making my drawing not visible and mouse flicker not visible? If so how can I change to back? Or is this a more significant error? Will I have to restart my design from scratch? Needing an ans

Find the icon with the eye on the panel to the right from layers combobox and switch it off.

You activated Layer Walk command. Switch it off in Layers dialog:
