I want to use some images (the top down view trees and shrubs) in landscape architectural drawings. They are colored, we also use a background sat image underlay.

How can I make the trees transparent so I can create groups of trees etc that are not surrounded by white squares which cover the base drawing? Which is the preferred image format?

Thanks

Hello Dan,

there are two kind of transparency in nanoCAD. For color images you can only set "Transparensy" in General options from 0 to 90, but it will make all image more transparent. For monochrome images you can also use "Background transparency" in Misc properties. If you set it to "yes" - only "black" (really it can be not only black, but ny other color ) dots will be visible and all "white" became transparent. To change color of trees from black to, for example, green - change Color option for monochrome image.

Best regards,
Seva.
