Print Paper Size not having an effect..

Yanni Migias's Photo Yanni Migias 24 Mar 2020

Hi, I'm new to Nanocad (and cad in general). I have looked through the forums but am unable to find a resolution..

I have created a drawing, and completed the drawing, but find that when I try to PRINT, to an A3, the drawing always comes out looking like A5 size, and no matter what I do, i am unable to get the drawing to FILL the A3 so it is readable..

I have attached a snapshot of what the layout looks like when I try and push it to A3.

The drawing has several layers also.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, in my V11 trial (2 more days, you are lucky ! :P/> )

but with a V5 and other like Autocad... If i understand correctly.... If you want save your print, use layout. In model space you can print a zone but can't save like a layout.
See my post of 09 May 2020

If i don't understand your question, a file to transmit ?...

In my V11 trial and V20 Beta, you can, in model space, plot mutiples plot zones
Plot dialog => ¨plot aera =>Window : design your print aera, and after, click on the Button : Add window print aera

Multiple plot aera are saved. (red dashed line)

In the v20 beta (i can't saved in my trial V11), even when the file is closed and reopen, the multiple plot aera are saved.

I understand well your question ?
Best regards

I was wrong when I said that in the model space you cannot save print areas, with NC 5.0 it is possible.
In the Plot dialog box (in Model, object space):
The "Plot aera> Window" option allows you to see three buttons appear:
- New window print aera
- Add window print aera
- Delete last print aera

The designated areas are memorized and are found when the file is opened. This automatically generates multiple page impressions.
On the other hand, this disturbs the prints in the paper space and you must take the option "Plot aera> Layout".

You have to find the work procedure that best suits your personal or professional habits and constraints.

hey,

i just had the same issue as you, but mine was printing A3 on about multiple pages.

I needed to choose the scale 1:1 in the print menu, and make sure it is 1:1mm or inch !!!

(mine was 1mm = 1inch) when changed to correct units it worked properly :)
