It's been a while since I've drawn with CAD programs. I'm trying to extrude a shape on the x-axis, not the z-axis, and I can't work out how to turn the view or the plane to make this possible. I would appreciate any advice, thanks.

Hello,
on V5 and V20:
For draw on other UCS plan x,y,z, turn the UCS (with the command same name).
UCSFOLLOW variable: on > 1 or off >0 and the view follow the UCS.

If UCSFOLLOW off you can turn the view with shift + press mouse wheel and drag.

For V5 use the menu Draw > Meshes ... but only for created simple formes. You can use command 3dface for draw many simple shape with 3 or 4 points.

For drawing complex formes use Sketchup v17 free and import in NC with PconPlanner (free) for make a SKP-dwg tranlate.

Best regards
Patrick
